ROANOKE—William "Billy" Edward Hall, 86, passed away August 25, 2024. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late James Hall and Ellen Cilumbrello Hall.

Billy was a Brakeman on the Beltline Railroad for many years. He also loved racing cars at local tracks, UVA sports, and anything Football.

In addition to his parents, Billy is predeceased by Brenda Johnson, Brenda Hall, and Mary Jane Hall.  He is survived by his children, Leslie Hall, Dean Holmes, Kevin Hall and Angela Anderson; and five grandchildren, Lexi Martin, Morgan Anderson, Kegan Anderson, Rachel Holmes, Kenneth Holmes Jr., and Addison Hall.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 522 High St., Portsmouth. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the church. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
