CHESAPEAKE- William L. Edwards, affectionately known as Bill, died in his home surrounded by family Wednesday, November 20, 2019.  He was a devoted husband, father & PawPaw.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Jackie Edwards; his mother, Marion Edwards; and his sister, Janice Evans.  He leaves his memory to be cherished by his wife Angela Edwards of 31 years, in Chesapeake; his children, Gary Feazell of Portsmouth, VA, Angela Megan Morris of King William, VA, Tiffany Tonnesen of Chesapeake, VA, Brenton Padgett & spouse Crystal of Bunn, NC, Amanda McDaniel & spouse Carl of Suffolk, VA, Timothy Edwards & spouse Kolby of Chesapeake, VA; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Bill retired from Frito Lay after 30 years of service.  After retiring, he and his wife opened a driving school business where he was the most kind and patient instructor to his students.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 536 Homestead Rd., Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior. Immediately following, there will be a reception at the church; all are welcome.  The family is requesting in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Bill's name to the American Cancer Society .
