The Honorable Walter M. "Square" Edmonds, 80, passed away December 26, 2014.

Mr. Edmonds, a native of Portsmouth, retired as Clerk of the Circuit Court of Portsmouth, Virginia in 2001 after 42 years of service. He was the widower of Judith M. Edmonds since her death in 2011.

Survivors include his four children, Nathlyn Edmonds Creecy and husband Joe of Chesapeake, Kimberly E. Roberts and husband Jerry of Bristow, OK, Kyle Edmonds and wife Sheila of Suffolk, VA, Christian Edmonds and wife Leslie of New Kent, VA.; and seven grandchildren.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 29 in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
