PORTSMOUTH—Theresa "Diane" Carlo, 79, beloved daughter of the late Vincent Carlo and Alice Carlo, passed away in her Portsmouth home on Thursday, Aug 19, 2021.

Diane graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1959 and was their Homecoming Queen the same year. She retired as a Medical Transcriptionist from Bon Secours Medical Center.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Liverman, Portsmouth; granddaughter Courtney Wilde (Steven Wilde), Ramona, CA; grandson Tyler Liverman (Shelby Liverman), Wenatchee, WA; her sister, Carol Bancroft, Portsmouth; brother Vincent Carlo (Janet Carlo), Pensacola, FL; and 4 great-grandsons.

Diane had such passion for life and people.  Her favorite pastimes were great conversations, Hollywood movies, and Broadway plays and musicals. She could be moved to tears by a powerful singer or a great movie line. "Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away," was a favorite quote, and she lived her life enjoying those moments.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 26, at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High St., Portsmouth. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 27, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 522 High St., Portsmouth, followed by burial at Olive Branch Cemetery. She loves flowers, but memorial donations may also be made to The Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) in her name. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
