Sylvia Ann Respess, 82, passed away on Thursday January 17, 2017 in Nags Head, NC.
Sylvia was born in Erwin, NC. She was the widow of Gene Salanga and Bill Respess. Sylvia was a retired office clerk from Sears. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Portsmouth, VA.
Survivors include her three children, Chris Salanga, Tony Salanga and wife Debbie, Lisa Salanga and husband Bob Sutton; a sister Marilyn Kay; 2 grandchildren, Shane Salanga and wife Jill, Lindsey Ratcliff and husband Justin; 2 great grandchildren, Stella and Evie Salanga.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at B.W. Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High Street, Portsmouth , VA, with a visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, VA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 6350 Center Drive #102 Norfolk, VA 23502-4107.
