Susanne Nelson Johnson, 63, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2015 in her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Johnson, a native of Richmond, Va., was the daughter of Isabella R. Nelson and the late Joseph E. Nelson. She was formerly a secretary for the General Electric Company and had also worked at Zino's Café in Chesapeake. She was a longtime member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Besides her mother, survivors include her husband of 41 years, David Johnson, Sr.; son, David Johnson, Jr. and wife Ashley; granddaughter, Lillie Susanne Johnson; and brother, John E. Nelson.
Friends may join the family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, 5685 Lee Farm Lane, Suffolk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2015 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 34 Afton Parkway, Cradock.
