PORTSMOUTH- Stephen Paul O'Neill, 65, passed away April 24, 2020. He was born in Portsmouth to the late David and Josephine Truitt O'Neill.

Steve was an Environmental Specialist at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard from June 1 ^st , 1987 to March 31 ^st , 2017. In addition, he was an incredible master carpenter. His work can be found in homes, businesses and restaurants across Hampton Roads. There is nothing he couldn't build or fix!

Steve was a great son, brother and friend, but an even better father. Kaitlyn and Kelly have countless memories of how their dad made their childhood the most fun and filled with an exponential amount of love.  When he wasn't at work or working in his shop (which was rare!), Steve loved to relax on the porch, read the newspaper or a book, or go see a movie. He also loved to go Nags Head or camping, and anyone will tell you his potato pancakes were the best around!

Steve is survived by his two daughters, Kaitlyn O'Neill Hill, her husband, Trey and Kelly O'Neill, her fiancé, Brandon; and two brothers, Danny O'Neill and Mike O'Neill.
