Stephen (Steve) Cullins passed away in his home in Calabash, NC on February 2, 2021. He was a previous resident of Suffolk, VA for most of his life. Steve's long brave battle with Multiple Sclerosis was the hardest journey he and his family have ever experienced. He was born in Portsmouth, VA, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and Chowan Junior College, then served in the National Guard of Virginia. His long standing sales career with Hertz Equipment Rental Co., lead him to be awarded as their #1 sales rep nationally 5 times before he retired after a 20-year tenure. Steve was also very well known for love of travel and building spec homes with Castle Builders throughout the Tidewater area. He was an outgoing and gregarious personality who never met a stranger; he was friendly and generous to everyone and will be missed by his family and friends.

Steve was predeceased by his father Mills J. Cullins, Jr. (Sonny). He is survived by his wife of 48 years Vivian Forehand Cullins; his son Ryan Cullins and his wife Jeannie and their children McKinley and Zachery; his mother Carolyn Cullins; his sister Chrystal Hollowell; sister-in-law Bonnie Forehand Frink (Rick); brothers-in-law Lon Forehand (Kirsten) and Steve Forehand (Caroline); and his nephews and nieces.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to his kind and patient caregivers, Dawn, Karen, Katerina and Desiree. A family graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Monday, February 8, 2021. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be considered to The MS Society or the ASPCA.
