Samuel Shearer Bisese DDS, 81, widower of Blanche C. Bisese, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Pat and Dess Bisese. A longtime resident of Portsmouth, he was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, godfather, and friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all.
He was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Churchland Lion's Club, The Catholic Club, Portsmouth Elks Lodge, The Portsmouth Assembly, and Tidewater Dental Association.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Patrick and his wife Lisa; granddaughters, Ashley Eager and husband Wayne, Kyle Smith and husband Nate, Summer Rhodes; his grandson, Samuel Bisese; and his great-grandsons, Landon and Bennett Eager and Shearer Smith. His is also survived by his sisters, Mary Pat Bisese Price and Stephanie Bisese Smith, and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
The family expresses sincere thanks to his caregivers for the love and support they have provided to Sam: Margaret Newby, Suzie Townsell, Sabrina Cherry and Joyce Boone.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk.
