PORTSMOUTH- Ross John Strother, 65, passed away  October 5, 2018 in Fleming Island, FL. He was born on April 5, 1953 in Portsmouth, VA to Robert John Strother, Sr. and Lucy Alianello Strother.

Mr. Strother resided in Green Cove Springs, FL and was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Orange Park.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Anthony Strother. He is survived by 3 brothers: Mark Strother (Josefina), Robert Strother, Jr. (Romona), and Michael Strother, as well as 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High St. Family will receive friends an hour prior. After the service, he will be laid to rest in All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
