Rosemary A. McCormick,86, May 28th,2017 passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Rosemary and Joe relocated to Portsmouth in 2006 but their hearts were always in New York. Rosemary loved to socialize and couldn't resist giving out a compliment whenever she could. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Kathleen Perlman (Matt), Maureen Grimes (George), Colleen Marchesani (Mike), Tommy McCormick (Diana) and Kristeen Claudio (Jason). Grandchildren: Elizabeth Mims (Pep), Danny McCormick, Patrick and Madison McCormick, Maggie and Olivia Perlman. Great grandchildren: Ryan and Reagan Mims.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;
Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
We will miss you mom, love you always….
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 5, 2017 at 11:30 am at Church of the Resurrection 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rosemary's honor to Church of Resurrection, Portsmouth, VA or to St. Jude's Research Hospital for Children.
