PORTSMOUTH- Rosanne Dolores Lockwood, 75, passed away September 23, 2021. She was born in Portsmouth to the late Alexander and June Coppedge Darpino.

Rosanne was a retired nurse who proudly worked for 20 years at Portsmouth General Hospital and was an outstanding example in the nursing profession.  Her passion and skills even extended into her gardening, where she inspired others while making her flower beds and house the talk of the neighborhood.

Rosanne is predeceased by her husband, John Kilburn Lockwood. She is survived by her children, John Lockwood and Joanne Madinger; her sister Alexis Shultz; six grandchildren: Brian, Joseph, Emily, Jonathon, Justine, and Jenelle; and her sister-in-law, Dixie Lockwood.

A service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 2, 2021 at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High St., Portsmouth. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
