Obituary

VIRGINIA BEACH—Rosaminda "Minda" Danganan, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the age of 84. She was born in Pampanga, Philippines on October 27, 1940.

Minda was a devoted wife to Francisco Danganan, with whom she shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. She was a loving and proud mother to Leilani de Forest (Eric), Jo-Ann Ricci (Rob), Joni Marcelo (Noel), and Eloise Danganan (John). She was also a cherished grandmother to Isabella, Francesca and Tristan.

Minda embraced life with joy and enthusiasm. She had a passion for traveling with friends, always eager to explore new places and cultures. In her home, she found great pleasure in entertaining and cooking.  She was known for creating delicious meals. Her Catholic faith was an important part of her life, and she LOVED the Lord. Minda also treasured her friendships and always looked forward to spending time with those she held dear.

Those who knew Minda will remember her for her ever-present singing, her delicious cooking that brought people together, and her remarkable ability to remain positive, no matter the circumstances.

Spending time with her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment with them.

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, her three grandchildren, her sister, Leonicia, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family is deeply grateful and blessed for the loving and dedicated care provided by the team at Arden Courts and the comforting support offered by Trinity Hospice during her final days.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, followed by inurnment, 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 26, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 3314 Sandra Ln., Virginia Beach. A reception will follow.
