CHESAPEAKE—Ronald "Ronnie" Andrew Dietz, Sr., 70 of Chesapeake passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022.  He was born in Portsmouth on May 3, 1951 to the late Richard and Virginia Barnak Dietz

Ronnie was a 1969 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He retired as a Printer after 44 years of service with Portsmouth Public Schools.

He enjoyed his family and friends and was known for his hilarious sense of humor that kept everyone laughing.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of over 38 years, Kathi Dietz; sons Ronnie Dietz Jr., Nick Dietz, (Jill), Jason Gayle (Harmony); daughter Jennifer Morgan (John); grandchildren Ashley, Mystee, Solomon and Andrew "AJ;" great-grandchild Rylee; and brothers Richard "Skip" (Ada) and Robert "Bobby".  He is also survived many by other cherished family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at B.W. Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High Street, Portsmouth. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
