Roger Henry Paradis, 74, passed away Wednesday February 25, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family.
Roger was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, son of the late Henry and Delvina LaBonte Paradis. He was a construction engineer at the Naval Station in Newport, Rhode Island up until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a gifted craftsman who loved carpentry and enjoyed blessing others with his talents. He also enjoyed spending time with his family cheering on his beloved New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox teams. He was predeceased by a brother Donald.
Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Rolande D. Paradis; three children, Stephen M. Paradis (Diane), Stacy A. Petrin (Derek), David M. Paradis (Erica); six grandchildren, Tammy Paradis, Michael Paradis, Nathan Petrin, Kaytlin Petrin, Seth Petrin, and Maiah Petrin; a great-grandson, Oliver Paradis; a sister, Claire E. Sylvia; a brother, Raymond A. Paradis; a brother-in-law, Roger R. LeBlanc (Lorraine); two sisters-in-law, Muriel C. Brunelle and Lucille A. Connolly; many beloved nieces and nephews; and others near and dear to his heart, Aimee M. Patrick and family, Ally and Jacob Sortino.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 518 High St. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Albert G.
