Robert Emerson Renfrew, Sr., 83, passed away August 24, 2022.  He was born in Phoenix, NY on March 16, 1939 and was a graduate of Phoenix High School.  Bob served in the U.S. Navy followed by a long career with General Electric Corporation, from which he retired in September 1986.  After General Electric, he held positions with Hagerstown Trust, Keedysville, MD; Elite Sportswear LP, Reading, PA; and Alpak Container Corporation, Chesapeake, VA.

Bob was devoted to his wife, Patricia, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He played a variety a sports, but his passion was baseball.  He played and coached baseball in his younger years and remained an avid fan throughout his life.  Bob was an extremely talented woodworker and created many cherished family heirlooms.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Moore and husband David; his sons Robert Renfrew, Jr. and wife Katherine, and Michael Renfrew and wife Cynthia; grandchildren, Jason Moore and wife Sarah; Gabrielle Renfrew and partner Michael Lawson; Justin Moore, Danielle Renfrew and partner Justin Mauldin, Christopher Renfrew, Daniel Renfrew, Lindsey Byers, and great granddaughter Alexandra Moore; his brothers Neil Renfrew and wife Betty, Gordon Renfrew and wife Anna, Ernest Renfrew and wife Debbie of Phoenix, NY; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.  He is predeceased by his parents, William John and Marion Ruth (Barse) Renfrew, and his beloved wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann Renfrew.

The family will receive visitors at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High Street, Portsmouth, Virginia on Wednesday, August 31 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 1 at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, VA.
