Raphael "Ray" Catlett passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the age of 85. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Peggy, his children Doris and Bobby Narron, Susan and Chester Smith, Frances and Jack Hailwood, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson.
Ray served 2 years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a respected manager of many Thom McAn stores and retired after 45 years of service.
He attended St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church and enjoyed his many friends there.
Ray loved his family, friends and a good joke. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 26th at 2:00 p.m. in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 7 Frank Lane, Hampton, VA 23651. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com
