Priscilla A. Gerrek

PORTSMOUTH – Priscilla Ann Sproch Gerrek, 86, died September 13, 2013 in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Gerrek, a native of Akron, Ohio was the widow of Richard J. Gerrek since his death in 2008. She was a graduate of Green High School in Akron. Priscilla was a member of St. Therese's Catholic Church. She loved raising Doberman Pinschers, gardening, sewing, and helping at her church and in her community. She enjoyed her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Richard J. Gerrek and wife Mary of Arlington, TX., Cindy Ann Guarino and husband Jim of West Bridgewater, MA., Debbie Anello and husband Jim of Troy, N.Y., David M. Gerrek and wife Linda of Suffolk, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Ricky Gerrek, Beth Gilbert, Mark Gerrek, Jay Kameese, Erin Burns, Tony Anello, Jenn Kuber, Angie Anello, Ensign Matt Gerrek, USN, Daniel Gerrek and 16 great grandchildren.

A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 19, 2013 in St. Therese's Catholic Church, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake, VA, by the Rev. Robert French. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass and at a reception in the church social hall following the entombment in Meadowbrook Mausoleum, Suffolk.
