SUFFOLK-Phyllis Guylene McSparron passed from this life in her sleep in the early morning hours of November 18, 2020.

Phyllis, who went through her life of 93 years as Guylene, was born in Ohio on February 5, 1927 to Guy Coe and Ruth (Sherwood) Coe. As a small child, Guylene moved to Oklahoma with her parents and two younger sisters, Virginia and Bonnie. About 1933, her father Guy Coe moved his family to southern California, where work and economic opportunities were better. A third sister, Mary Lynn, was born in California. They settled in San Fernando, California, where she grew up and graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in elementary teaching.

She married John B. "Jack" McSparron in 1948. Guylene, Jack, and family moved to Sacramento, CA in 1956, and to Germantown, MD in 1966. In 1968, the family moved back to California, settling in Palos Verdes Peninsula. Together they raised three children: Janice, Susan, and Allen.

In 1996, Guylene and Jack moved to Moorestown, NJ, to be closer to their son. They enjoyed over 50 years of marriage before Jack passed in 2000. Guylene moved to Chesapeake, VA in 2012, to be closer to her daughter Susan.

In addition to her children, Guylene was blessed with eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She was always the very model of kindness and will be fondly remembered. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
