CHESAPEAKE- Patricia Johnson Orgain (Pat) passed away suddenly on Monday, January 7, 2019, surrounded by her family. Pat was a native of Portsmouth, the daughter of Anne and A. W. Johnson.

After graduation from Churchland High, Pat majored in English at Mary Washington. She was retired from the Chesapeake Schools, where she taught English at Western Branch Middle School. After her retirement, she pursued a career as a realtor with BHHS Towne Realty.

Pat was a member of Saint John's Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild. She loved life and people and was an avid golfer and member of several book and bridge clubs. Nana's grandchildren were the apples of her eye.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Frank; her daughter Jennie Every and husband Mark of Glen Allen and their three children, Cora, Garrett, and Wade; her daughter Ashley Morgan and husband Brad of Norfolk and their three children, Zeb, Frank, and Eve; her son Leigh Orgain of Virginia Beach; and her sister Barbara Johnson of New York, New York.

A Requiem Eucharist will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, at Saint John's Episcopal Church, 424 Washington St., Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to EDMARC Hospice for Children, 516 London Blvd., Portsmouth, VA 23704. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
