While raising her boys in Middlesex County, she obtained her degree from Old Dominion University in Women's Studies. Pat was also an avid writer and talented stained glass artist. She is also survived by two sisters, Diane Carlo and Carol Carlo Bancroft of Portsmouth, and her brother Vince Carlo (Jan), of Pensacola, FL. She was a beloved Aunt to many nieces and nephews, and maintained friendships and family ties with many cousins.
