Otho Jay Baker, 62, passed away on April 11, 2015 in a hospital.
Mr. Baker, a native of Fort Meade, Maryland, was a warehouseman for Roses Department Store. He was predeceased by his mother, Barbara P. Baker, and brother, David Baker.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Otho J. Baker and Evelyn Virginia Baker; a sister, Barbara Jones; step-sisters, Tracy Weiss, Heather Harrington; a step-brother, Michael Gilstrap; a cousin, Lara Mortimer and husband Leon and a close friend, Garry Hudson and wife Leigh.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, Suffolk, by the Rev. Thornton M. Frye. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 500 E. Plume St. #110, Norfolk, VA. 23510.
