Obituary

PORTSMOUTH – Olga G. Valdivieso, 95, died peacefully in her home on May 17, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.  Mrs. Valdivieso, a native of Arecibo, Puerto Rico, was the widow of Dr. Jorge R. Valdivieso, M.D.

Survivors include five children, Carmen A. Campbell (Allen) of Portsmouth; Jorge E. Valdivieso of Encinitas, California; David R. Valdivieso (Nina) of Suffolk; Steven F. Valdivieso (Michele) of Chesapeake; Eduardo R. Valdivieso (Roxanne) of Kill Devil Hills, NC; one brother, Hector Garcia; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Olga was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection.  She was a loving and outgoing woman who made friends everywhere she went.  She will be missed by all of her family and friends but our sadness is eased knowing she is "dancing" in heaven.

The family will receive friends at the Campbell home, 3613 Templar Court, Portsmouth, VA 23703, on Thursday, May 24 from 6:00 – 9:00p.m.  A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, the 25 th day of May 2018, at the Church of the Resurrection, with a reception immediately following.  Memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23703.  Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
