Michele earned her BS in Science in Nursing from VCU and later completed her medical studies at the University of SC-Columbia.  She practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in FL until her retirement, when she returned to Portsmouth to serve as primary caregiver to our mom, who was suffering with dementia.  Michele was a devout Catholic and served as a Lay Minister and in the Chaplaincy at Sentara and Bon Secours Hospitals.  She prayed always to the Sacred Heart and the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was a selfless and compassionate caregiver to all those she had the opportunity to serve.
