Mary Lee Upton, 81, passed away on June 29, 2016.
A native of Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Agnes Thompson. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Upton, son, Michael; grandson, Joshua; and brother, Jack. She was a graduate of St. Paul's Catholic High School and retired from NOAA.
Survivors include a son, Eric Richardson; 2 daughters, Danielle Richards-Chavers (Michael), Suzanne Walton (Ray); 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Dickie Jim and Tommy.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11th at St. Paul Catholic Church, High St., Portsmouth. Visitors will be received at 3503 Sugar Run, Chesapeake, following the Mass. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
