Mary Eugenia Boone, 92, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Boone was a native of New Haven, Kentucky, and a longtime resident of Portsmouth. Mary was the widow of Joseph C. Boone and was a sales associate with J.C. Penny Company. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and the Church's Sewing Club. She was preceded in death by a son, William M. Boone.
She is survived by 2 sons, Joseph A. Boone and wife Karen, Thomas E. Boone and wife Shelba; a daughter-in-law, Marie Boone; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Young, and a sister, Martha Scalise.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2016, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 34 Afton Pkwy. Portsmouth. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the Church and a reception will follow the Mass in the church's fellowship hall.
