Marie Johnson Temple, 87, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in her home.
Mrs. Temple, a native of Nixon Township, Pasquotank Co., North Carolina. Marie was a Studio Artist with O'Neal's Studio in Portsmouth for many years. She married the late Ralph K. Temple in 1948. Marie was a member of Elizabeth River Artist and Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Y. Rue; a grandson, Roger B. Blackman, Jr. and his wife Christine, and a great granddaughter, Tehya Blackman.
The visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 at B.W. Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High St., Portsmouth. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday Sept. 3rd, 2016 in Greenlawn Memorial Mausoleum, 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake, VA.
