PORTSMOUTH—Marianne Geoghegan Smith, 90, passed away January 6, 2022. She was born in San Diego, CA to the late Henry and Lucille Coté Geoghegan.

Marianne was predeceased by her husband, Clifford V. Smith, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Clifford V. Smith III, Richard L. Smith (Jayne); and Stephen P. Smith; her daughter, Deborah S. Taylor (Donald); her sister, Suzanne Corbett; her brother, Dick Geoghegan; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.

A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, at the Church of St. Therese, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake. The family will receive friends an hour prior.
