Marian Frances Stuck Jackson, 89, passed away June 4, 2015 after a long and valiant fight against long living. She was born in Selbysport, MD and was the daughter of the late Leta Alvina Williams Stuck and Clifford Ray Stuck. She was the widow of Thomas E. Jackson, Jr. She attended Wilson High School in Portsmouth, VA. She spent her early adult years working at the A&P Grocery Store earning money to support her four younger siblings after their mother died at a very early age. She eventually retired from Portsmouth General Hospital after working for 24 years as a scrub tech in Labor & Delivery. She was a wonderful mother and friend and will be missed by so many. She belonged to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Portsmouth, VA where she was a Sunday School Teacher as well as a member of the United Methodist Women and the Hudson Hornsby Circle. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna J. Randall (Harvey), Lisa J. Moorman (Alexander), Julie J. Perry (Scott), her granddaughters, Megan Heldens-Randall (Lex), Katie and Ashlyn Moorman, Hayley Perry, and her grandsons, Jack Randall (Tricia), and Matthew Perry, her great grandchildren, Peyton, Claire and Casey Randall and her dear friend, Dale Hamilton, as well as many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters, Natalla S. Hall & Patricia S. Lindner and her brothers, Clifford R. Stuck Jr., Donald P. Stuck, George E. Stuck and David J. Stuck. The family wishes to extend many thanks for their compassionate care to Linda McCollum (her friend and caregiver), Linda Levy (her home health nurse) from Jewish Family Services, Dr. Lynne Stockman and her staff, RAI Care Center Airline and in the end, Dr. Otarod Bahrani and the staff at Sentara Heart Hospital for helping us care for our mother with the respect and dignity she deserved. A funeral service to celebrate Marian's life will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 5615 Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, VA 23701 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor J.W. Park will officiate. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at 10:00am at the church. Flowers are welcome.
