PORTSMOUTH- Margaret Osborn passed on to join her sister Ann Osborn, her brother David Osborn, and her parents, Rev. Donald and Rachel Osborn, on October 4, 2018.

Meg grew up in New England, first in Randolph, VT, then South Royalton, VT, and finally Fort Kent, ME, as the youngest member of a rural pastor's family. In her adult years, she attended Louisiana State University and Virginia Commonwealth University, studying music. She worked as a ticketing agent for United Airlines, a travel agent, and finally as a medical transcriptionist until forced to retire on disability.

Meg is survived by her son Aaron Osborn Shannon of Portsmouth; her brothers Richard Osborn (Margaret) of Randolph Center, Vermont, and Robert Osborn (Helena Deligt) of Richmond, Virginia; a niece, Sarah Pratt Taylor (Brock), also of Richmond; and a nephew, Andrew Pratt (Alexandra) of Williamsburg. Aaron's father Keith Shannon is also recently deceased, as is her longtime partner, Phillip Taylor.

Her pride and joy was her son Aaron, whom she raised along with his father. She succumbed to the pain of scoliosis (curvature of the spine) as well as COPD and pneumonia. It is with a deep sense of loss that we must now part with her, but it is with joy that we celebrate her life and love.
