SUFFOLK-Margaret "Peggy" Dumire Sullivan of Suffolk, Virginia passed away on October 30, 2020. She was a daughter of Albert and Evelyn Dumire.
Peggy went into Nursing School at Norfolk General Hospital, following the footsteps of her mother. She worked in the nursing field her entire life. She worked at Portsmouth General Hospital, Maryview Hospital, and Norfolk General Hospital. After retiring from working at the hospitals, she still worked as a school nurse. She was always a medical advisor for her family and loved ones.
Peggy had an extended family in Garrett County, Maryland, whom she loved and loved to visit. She also remained very active in her husband Charlie's family, as well. Peggy enjoyed sewing, quilting, and traveling with her sister Patricia.
She had a few lifelong friends, many close friends, coworkers, and acquaintances whom she loved dearly.
Peggy was very active in the Church of St. Therese and her community. Everyone who knew Peggy loved her; she always had a big smile and a contagious laugh.
She was predeceased by both her loving husband Charles "Charlie" Sullivan and her sister Mary Dumire. Peggy is survived by her two children, Matthew and Amanda; her brother Albert Dumire; sister Patricia (Lonnie) Dumire; and three loving granddaughters: Adriana, Lyla, and Sophia.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of St. Therese, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23321. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
