Loyed William Gardner, 94, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016.
Mr. Gardner was born in Portsmouth, VA, the son of the late Joseph and Zena Harrison Gardner. He was the widower of Marion A. Gardner. Loyed was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, retired as President of H.E. Robertson Realty Company and a member of Westhaven Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, David Gardner and wife Pat; a daughter, Amy Gardner Giles and husband Ed; grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin, Michael; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 26, 2016 at2:00 p.m. in Westhaven Baptist Church, 4900 Caroline Ave., Portsmouth, VA, by Rev. Tom Wood. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
