PORTSMOUTH—Louis Keczan, 90 years old, passed away peacefully November 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; his parents; and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Faith; his loving daughter Anna Osborne, her wonderful husband Danny, and three beautiful grandchildren: Sarah Osborne, Megan Osborne, and Daniel Osborne; his two sisters, Julia Nagy in CT and Mary Trefan in Hungary; and also in Hungary, special nephews Laci Trefan, Gabor Trefan, niece Marta Trefan, and Edit Trefan, mother of Gabor and Marta.

Since 1962, Louis was a member of the Church of St. Therese, where he was active in the Ministry of Care, taking Communion to hospitals, nursing homes, and the homebound. He was also involved in the Men's Club at church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Paul's Council #418.

In 2013, he was recognized as Senior Volunteer of the Year for the City of Portsmouth, for the crucial role he played in collecting food for Oasis and other food pantries throughout the city. A good and faithful servant who never met a stranger, he was loved by all and will be forever missed.

Louis was employed at Dominion Power for 33 years, working his way up to shift supervisor, and retired at 58 to enjoy life as a retiree traveling to exotic and interesting destinations with his wife.
