Loretta Duffy Thomas' Obituary
Loretta Duffy Thomas, 88, passed away on Thursday March 12, 2015.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of the late John Thomas Duffy and Margaret Frances Gleason Duffy, and was the widow of Francis Xavier Thomas since his death in 2000. She retired as an accounting clerk from the Naval Air Station, Norfolk and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, John Francis Duffy, Joseph Edward Duffy, Bernard James Duffy, and Edward Patrick Duffy.
Survivors include a nephew, Patrick J. Duffy and wife Monica A. Duffy, and their daughter, Melissa D. Lubbe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 518 High Street, Portsmouth, VA at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 18, 2015. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at B.W. Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High Street, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church Restoration Fund, c/o 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23704. Condolences may be registered at bwfosterfuneralhome.com.
