Obituary

Linda Gail Wilson Morgan died peacefully on March 9, 2017. She was born in Portsmouth, VA at the Naval Hospital. She lived in Nassau, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Greece and Guam.
Linda taught kindergarten through third grade for over 30 years. Twenty three years of her teaching journey were spent at Christopher Academy, formerly the St Christopher School where she was the leader of the Ducks. She found tremendous joy in seeing her former students grow up and make their place in the world. Linda also enjoyed being with her many friends through memberships in The Wild Women, King's Daughters Circle, The Elizabeth River Garden Club, Chowder and Marching Society and book clubs. Her life was full of travel, friends, family, rivers of chocolate, shopping, Elvis, wonderful memories on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and adventures with her four legged best friend Ruby Gail.
Linda is survived by her husband of almost 46 years, Scott, children, James H. Morgan (Ashley), Ross Morgan (Jennie) and six fabulous grandchildren, Leila, Mason, Lucy, Emma, Charlie and Zoe.
During these last few months Linda received excellent care at The Crossings. Thanks to Debbie Pisarik and her staff, her treatment was superb. She appreciated the many friends she formed and would want to wish each of them well. Thanks to Dr. Faith Dajao, Dr. Kevin Wilson, Dr. Harish Iyer, and Dr. Vasken Tenekjian. Your care made her trial much easier to bear.
She was very special and will be greatly missed. Donations may be made to the The Linda Morgan Library Fund at Christopher Academy, Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters or to any charity of your choice. Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 Court St, Portsmouth, VA 23704 on Tuesday, March 14th at 1pm with a reception following in the parish hall.
