Kenneth B. Finlay, 97, of Portsmouth, VA passed away Monday November 23, 2020.  He was a native of Sturgeon, MO.

He was predeceased by his first wife Christine and his second wife Joanna; his brothers Jim and Roy; and his sisters Pearl and Francis. He was also predeceased by step-son Patrick Nee, Jr.  He is survived by his son, Kenneth A. Finlay and his wife Deborah B. Finlay; his daughter Joanna Deal and her husband Henry Deal; and his 7 grandchildren, Bruce A. Finlay, Kristina L. Finlay, James K. Finlay and his wife Monica Finlay; Andy Jordan, Christopher Jordan and his wife Kelly, Patrick Nee and his wife Lisa Nee, and Jennifer Bartoletti; and 11 great-grandchildren: Keagan Thompson, Grant Finlay, Caitlin Finlay, Caroline Finlay, Madison Glazer, Payton McCormick, Jacob Jordan, Joshua Jordan, Hudson Jordan, Evan Bartoletti, and Elliott Bartoletti.

Kenneth B. Finlay was a retired Navy Chief Gunners Mate and retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard Shop 38. He attended St. Therese Catholic Church and had many friends within this congregation. He loved gardening, hunting and fishing and as he grew older enjoyed time with the families, loving all the babies that came into his family.  There has never been a baby or dog that he didn't adore or who didn't adore him.
