PORTSMOUTH—Kathleen Boniwell Ames, 96, passed away in her granddaughter's home surrounded by Pam, Cathy, Heather, and wonderful caregiver Steph.

She was the widow of J. W. Kelley Ames and a member of Centenary UMC since 1954. She was devoted to her family and dearly loved her friends on the Caring Committee at Centenary.

Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Pamela A. Vogler and Cathy A. Haywood (husband Mike); her son Michael K. Ames, Sr. (wife Marsha); five grandchildren: Allison A. Gary (husband Jesse); Michael K. Ames, Jr. (wife Christine); Heather Haywood (partner Stephanie Lower), Justin Haywood (fiancée Emily Smith), and Kevin Vogler (wife Brittany); and eight great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Ben Ames, Joshua, Jacob and Jonah Gary, Sadie Wyatt, Wynter Haywood, and Thomas Vogler.

The family would like to thank Trinity Hospice for their excellent loving care and compassion during these last three weeks.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, at Olive Branch Cemetery, 2 Cpl. J M Williams Ave., Portsmouth. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
