Josephine "Jonie" Didio died peacefully on February 22, 2017.
Jonie was born in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Guerrieri Didio. She was retired with 34 years of service as the secretary to the Chief of Internal Medicine of the Naval Regional Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. Jonie was an avid Duckpin Bowler and a lifetime member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was predeceased by six sisters, Philomena D. Piedmont, Lucy D. Rossi, Mary D. Crabtree, Teresa Didio, Dana D. Cuthriell and Kate Didio; two brothers, Nicholas A. Didio and Carlo R. Didio.
Survivors include her numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in St. Paul Catholic Church, 522 High St., Portsmouth. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, Suffolk.
