PORTSMOUTH- John Kilburn Lockwood, 76, passed away July 20, 2020. He was born in Springfield, VT to Lorenzo E. and Elizabeth Kilburn Lockwood. John served honorably in the Navy, enjoyed creating displays in Nauticus, and worked very hard in the shipyards.

John is survived by his wife, Rosanne Darpino Lockwood; his children, John Lockwood and Joanne Madinger; his sister Dixie Lockwood; and six grandchildren: Brian, Joseph, Emily, Jonathon, Justine, and Jenelle; and sister-in-law Alexis Shultz.

A service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at Foster Funeral Home, 1926 High St., Portsmouth. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Portsmouth Humane Society, 4022 Seaboard Ct, Portsmouth, VA 23701. John loved all animals, and any help given to them would be appreciated.
