Jeanne Marie Smith Grinkewitz, 52, passed away, Thursday May 4, 2017. Beloved mother, sister, daughter, left this earth far too soon. She leaves behind two sons, Jonah and Jordan, who she loved beyond words.

Jeanne was born in Portsmouth, VA. She was a medical receptionist and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include her two sons, Jonah R. Grinkewitz, Jordan G. Grinkewitz; her mother, Mary Tobin Sharp; her father, J.C. Smith and his wife Brenda; 4 sisters, Sherri A. Paris, Aimee L. Shannon and husband John, Teresa M. Sharp and husband Adam, Mandy E. Hilton and husband Andy; brother, Jay Smith; brother-in-law, Joe Paris; step-sister, Kelly Sexton Dunn and husband Keith; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 in St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. Family will receive friends and loved ones from 6-7 p.m. with a Vigil Service to follow at 7 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, Chapel on Friday, May 12, 2017.
