Isabella D. Nelson, 91, passed away November 1, 2017. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Vincenzo and Rosa Galasso DiVincenzo.
Isabella was a retired cashier for Deep Creek High School. She was a long time member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe E. Nelson, and her daughter, Susanne Johnson. She is survived by her son, John E. Nelson; her sister, Dolly Frattura; her son-in-law David Johnson; a grandson, David Johnson, Jr. (Ashley); and great-grandchildren Lillie and Landry.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 15 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 34 Afton Pkwy., Portsmouth. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Isabella will be buried with her husband in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, Capital Campaign Fund, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23703.
