Iris T. Johnson's Obituary
Iris Taylor "Boots" Johnson, 92, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2015.
Mrs. Johnson, a native of Kelford, N.C., was the daughter of the late Linton Y. "Jack" Taylor and Rosabelle P. Taylor. She had worked as a registered nurse at King's Daughters Hospital, Portsmouth; and was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Chuckatuck. She was an exceptional artist for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, W. F. "Charlie" Johnson; two sisters, Sally T. Beamon, Rebecca T. Askew; a half-sister, Amy T. Harp and husband Wayne; a half-brother, Linton Y. Taylor, Jr.; and extended family. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Emerald T. Burgwyn and Tina T. Vann.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 220 Kings Hwy., Suffolk 23432. Memorial donations may be made to Wesley Chapel UMC or to a charity of choice. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is assisting the family.
