Harry Earl
Weiseman Iii
Jul 15, 1955 — Sep 9, 2019
Chesapeake
CHESAPEAKE--Our beloved husband, son, brother, and "Uncle Harry" went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 9, 2019 following a short illness. A native of Portsmouth, Harry was born on July 15, 1955 to Margie B. Weiseman and the late Harry E. Weiseman, Jr.
A graduate of Western Branch High School, Harry received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master's Degree in Health Services Administration from Strayer University. He was employed by Sentara Health Systems for more than four decades and was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and good attitude. He was proud of his work and was a true team player.
Harry loved his Lord Jesus. He was born into Elm Avenue Methodist Church, which later became Aldersgate UMC, where he and Miguela helped to build homes with Habitat for Humanity. In recent years they enjoyed worshiping and making new friendships at Catholic churches in Hampton Roads.
He loved his family, especially his sweetheart Miguela. He and "Megs" loved to travel and enjoyed many exciting trips together. Christmases at Harry and Miguela's were always filled with lots of great food, glittering lights, fun, and music. A terrific drummer, he loved reminiscing about our little family band we called SHARE, and he enjoyed playing the drums for the CSAT SINULOG community activities. A motorcycle enthusiast, he loved his Harley. He loved a good game of golf, especially with nephew Skip. And he did love a great joke, always followed by his signature booming laugh. We will sure miss that laugh.
Survivors include his beloved wife of nearly 32 years, Miguela Adelfa Kuizon Weiseman; his mother, Margie B. Weiseman; his sister, Sheryl Weiseman Williams and husband Ernie; his nephew, Ernest G. Williams, III, whom he called "Skippy Doo"; his great-nephew, Harrison Carter Williams; and Harrison's mother, Jessica McCabe.
There will be a one-hour public viewing 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, at The Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, 4569 Shoulders Hill Road, Suffolk. After the burial, all are invited to a reception in the Church of the Resurrection Social Hall. The family would appreciate donations in Harry's memory to the Salvation Army for Hurricane Dorian relief: The Salvation Army - Disaster Relief, P. O. Box 1959, Atlanta, GA 30301. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
