Harriet Eileen Smith's Obituary
Smith, Harriet Eileen Long, 87, passed away on Saturday February 28, 2015 in Chesapeake, VA surrounded by her loving family.
Harriet was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Ova Bruce and Alta Dotson Long. She was the widow of Harold E. Smith. Harriet was a member of the #197 Chapter of Eastern Star and a former member of Glenwood Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio.
Survivors include her five children, Dianne Smith-Knight, Doris J. Foster (Brian), Deborah S. McCabe (Tim), Donna S. Blankenship (Ken) and Dennis H. Smith (Amy); 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, Marion L. Cooley (Carl).
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday March 7, 2015 in Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania. The family will receive family and friends at 6:00 p.m. at Chandler Café in Sylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gabby's Ladder, 431 E. Elm Ave., Monroe, MI 48162 (Memo line, Stacy's Sparkles). Maison - Dardenne - Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio is handling arrangements.
