PORTSMOUTH—Gertrude "Trudy" Ann Healey, 82, passed away September 16, 2024. She was born in Richmond Hills, NY, to the late Clifford and Helen Seebach Frohnhoefer.

Trudy's family moved to Virginia in August of 1958, and she was a Class of '59 graduate of Churchland High School. She worked as a secretary for John Carter, Atty., and later for John C. Holland Enterprises.  A longtime member of Church of the Resurrection, she volunteered at Oasis Social Ministry and for Friends of Portsmouth Public Library.

In addition to her parents, Trudy was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Thomas L. Healey, Sr. She is survived by their children, Tom, Jr. (Robin) and Susan Schmidt; her brother Cliff Frohn (Beth); sister-in-law Shirley Healey; brother-in-law James Healey (Ellen); grandchildren Kelley Healey (Jessica), Bryce Healey, Meghan Barron (Sean), and Lauren Schmidt; great-grandson Killian Healey and the many nieces and nephews of the Healey and Frohn families.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, at Church of the Resurrection, 3501 Cedar Ln., Portsmouth. The family will receive friends at the church an hour prior. Burial will immediately follow, at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Suffolk.
