PORTSMOUTH—Gale Myers Bracy, 72, of the 5200 block of Lunar Drive, Kitty Hawk, NC, went to be with the Lord January 21, 2022. She was a member of Holy Redeemer by the Sea Catholic Church in Kitty Hawk.

Gale was the daughter of the late Louis and Alice Myers. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, James "Jimmy" Bracy, and her brothers, Ricky and Mike.  She leaves behind a daughter, Lisa Bracy Lewis and her husband Larry C. Lewis; and two wonderful grandchildren whom she adored: James Chandler Lewis and Sara Kelly Lewis of Portsmouth; a son, James Scott Bracy, and his wife, Megan Trefny Bracy, of Matthews, NC; and her beloved nephews, Curtis and Carl Myers.

As per her request there will be no visitation and no open casket. There will be a graveside service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, at the Azalea Mausoleum #1 in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, VA.
