Francis Mathurin "Jack" Poché, 90, passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
Jack, a native of St. James Parish, Louisiana, was a graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans, and retired from the oil business as a civil engineer. He was a member of Church of Saint Therese and the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his son, Francis "Matt" Poché, Jr. in 2011.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Emily Howat Poché; two daughters, Anne Poché, and Claire Richardson and husband Michael; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Abbie, Nicholas, John-Paul and Emma Richardson; and a brother, Clyde C. Poché.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon Friday, May 8

, at Church of Saint Therese, 4137 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23321. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be in Saint Louis #3 Cemetery, New Orleans at a later date. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is assisting the family.
