PORTSMOUTH- Florencia "Florence" Elizabeth Panuelos Hernandez, 96 years young, peacefully entered into eternal life on December 12, 2018.  Born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, she was the eldest of six children born to Francisco and Edna Panuelos.

She was predeceased by her parents, siblings Helen Laber and Francis "Buddy" Panuelos, her devoted husband Cirilo T. Hernandez, and her beloved daughter, Elizabeth H. Myers.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Dennis J. Hernandez (Carol); son-in-law, Carl D. Myers; grandchildren Denyse H. O'Connor (Brennan), Carla M. Wilson (Chris) and Michael G. Myers; great-grandchildren John Chandler O'Connor, Chelsea D. O'Connor, Cecelia E. Wilson and Charles E. Wilson; and siblings Dennis Panuelos, Betty Snyder, and Juanita Hollman.

Florence was the matriarch of a loving family and will be remembered for her unconditional love, unwavering support, strong faith, good humor, and love of life.  Her family would like to thank the staff of Mayfair House Assisted Living for the compassionate care they gave to Nanny over the past 4 years. She truly loved her "girls".

Burial will be private.  The family is planning a Memorial Mass and Celebration of Life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, where she worshipped for over 75 years. Condolences may be registered at BWFosterFuneralHome.com.
