Ellen Williams Esleeck, 100, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2013.

Mrs. Esleeck, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Edgar Carl Williams and Ida Chippendale Williams. She retired as the Chief Clerk of the Probation Office of the Federal Courts in Norfolk. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, and was preceded in death in 2009 by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert G. Esleeck, former Portsmouth Commissioner of Revenue.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Cal and Dick Esleeck; great-nieces and nephews; and by a godchild, Lynne Davis Pazuros of Woodbridge, VA. In her final years, Ellen's life was enriched and blessed by the caring staff and warm residents at Dominion Village in Chesapeake.

A graveside service will be held at 12 Noon Friday, October 11th at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23321, by The Rev. Kathleen M. Bobbit. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements.
