Elizabeth Claire Sears, 85, died on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

Elizabeth was born in Salem, Massachusetts, the widow of Richard E. Sears. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Portsmouth.

Survivors include her son, R. Scott Sears and his wife Jennifer; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephen, Colin, Juliette and Mary Elizabeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul Catholic Church, 518 High Street, Portsmouth, VA on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. by the Rev. David W. Cupps. The family will receive friends at Church from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth handling arrangements.
